Whole Numbers in Excel with Mail Merge
I'm running a mail merge. In excel, my numbers are displaying in the cell as
"2", but in the formula area, it's displayed as 2.15342465753425. I would like it to merge as the whole number 2. Also, my salaries, in the cell are displayed as $115,000.00, but above in the formula area, it's displaying as 115000. When the merge is run, I would also like those salary numbers to generate with the dollar sign and comma separator. How can these two number issues be corrected, if possible. Thanks in advance, |

Use the TEXT() function.
Something like =TEXT(D6,"#") for your first example, and =TEXT(D7,"$#0.00") for youe second. Adjust the format arguments to suit. -- David Biddulph "bronxbabe" wrote in message ... There's an article on the Microsoft web site that might help you: Answer Box: Numbers don't merge right in Word http://office.microsoft.com/en-ca/as...164951033.aspx And if you prefer the old Mail Merge helper, Word MVP Suzanne Barnhill has instructions he http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/C...ngWord2002.htm about half way down the page. bronxbabe wrote: I'm running a mail merge.
