We are using a formatted excel worksheet for a couple of our testing
procedures. We use the same formatted sheets daily and just save it under a
new name. I have had a few people change our quality control values or some
of my conditional formatting that I use, that should not do it, so I would
like to lock everyone out except myself and my supervisor for these certain
cells. How can you password protect just certain cells and leave the other
cells available to imput information.

<File,<Save As (in the bottom window) <Save As Type choose
<Template (*.xlt).
Once saved as template; to open choose <File, <New, (a window on the right
of the screen opens) choose <On my computer....
This will save your original in a place most cannot screw it up. When opened
it opens a copy (Filename+1, 2, 3.xls, however many open at one time)
preserving your original. If someone messes up the copy apply Louisville
Slugger, then make them correct what they messed up with no effect on your
original, everyone learns and you get to ease your tension.
