I understand when circular is displayed, what does it mean when calculate is
displayed?

Your calculation is set to manual (Tools/Options/Calculate). Press F9 to
calculate the workbook or change to automatic.

Thanks for the response but I already checked that & determined that
Automatic is selected. The only other thing was whether Iterate should be
checked but I don't think that should matter unless I am trying to limit the
number of iterations so Iterate is left unselected which I think is the
default. Any other thoughts?
