I have created the following folder ~
Financial Plan [main folder] - Budget - 2006 - 2007 - Forecast - 2006 - 2007 I wish to copy files from the Budget 2007 folder to the Forecast 2007 folder and ensure that the links are automatically refreshed / updated. Presently, for files copied from the Budget folder to the Forecast folder, when I open any file in the Forecast folder, the link still remains with the Budget folder. What is required of me in order that the link will automatically update from Budget to Forecast when I copy the files over from one folder to the next? Thank you very-very much! ;-) |

assuming that both folders contain the same structured reference workbooks and worksheets.
After you copy file(s) from budget2007 into forecast2007 folder <can be thru windows explorer, then you open that file(s) and editlinks"highlight the old reference file" click change sourcebrowse/click for the forecast path/folder/new ref file(s)". rome lsb:) Quote:

thx very much toni.gee :-) am already doing what you have suggested. was
actually looking for a more efficient and quicker method. but thank you anyway for your reply, much appreciated! ;-) "toni.gee" wrote: I don't think it's possible to automatically update the links - you will have to do them manually. Either do it link by link via Edit¦Links... or use Find and Replace (but be careful that you are only replacing the links that are relevant).
