How do I remove a search bar on Excel?
I got this page that has a search bar on it. It is not attached to any
specific row or column but I can move it up if I remove rows. I cannot move it by cutting, copying, or any other method. Help. |
How do I remove a search bar on Excel?
I have a very rudimentary solution. First, I assume that you can't highlight
the search bar, right? So, create a new page. Select all of the original (CTRL + A (I like keyboard shortcuts)) and paste the whole thing (CTRL + V) it in the new one. The search bar *may* magically disappear. I think I recall doing something similar when I had a random floating image on a spreadsheet that wouldn't go away (and I had NO IDEA where it had come from, as well). If that doesn't work... I have no idea. Hope that helps. "OU Pitboss" wrote: I got this page that has a search bar on it. It is not attached to any specific row or column but I can move it up if I remove rows. What is a search bar?
Do you have other search bars in the workbook? If so, what do they do? Has the bar "worked" before and now stopped working? What version of Excel? Windows or Mac? Does the workbook have macros in it? Is it your workbook or did it come from elsewhere? If elsewhere, have you asked about it over there? Does the workbook ever "crash"? What is the size of the workbook? -- Jim Cone San Francisco, USA http://www.realezsites.com/bus/primitivesoftware "OU Pitboss" <OU wrote in message I got this page that has a search bar on it.
