Answer: How to remove the Chinese language option from Excel?

Don't worry, it's easy to remove the Chinese language option from Excel. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner of the Excel window.
  2. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  3. In the Excel Options window, click on "Language" in the left-hand menu.
  4. Under "Choose Editing Languages", select "English (United States)" or whichever English language option you prefer.
  5. Click "Set as Default" to make sure the language stays as English.
  6. Click "OK" to save the changes and close the Excel Options window.

That's it! The Chinese language option should now be removed and your Excel should be back to English. If you accidentally switch to another language in the future, you can always follow these steps to switch back to English.

Hello Badri,

It's possible that your default language got messed up in some way. If so,
you could try the next.

Open "Microsoft Windows Start menu", then "Programs", and highlight
"Microsoft Office Tools". Then click "Microsoft Office XP Language Settings".

There is a box where you can change your "default version of Microsoft
Office".

There you can change back to "English (U.S.)"

I hope this works out...

It sounds like you've enabled the Chinese input method editor (IME). Press
"alt-shift" to make the problem go away.

For a more permanent solution, run "Regional and Language Options" from the
Windows Control Panel. Then, click on the second tab, click on "Details...",
and remove the Chinese keyboard from the list of keyboards.
