cannot paste from clip board
 

cannot paste from clipboard, although it copies to to the clipboard.

in all the Excel files, it was fine until a few days ago.

Under what circumstance(s) does this occur?

All the time, some of the time, only this once?

What are you copying ?

From where and to?

How do you know it is copied to the clipboard?

I highlight the cells/contents i want to copy (either right click copy or
Ctrl C), Ctrl C C opens the clip board, so i can see the previous things
copied, the paste option does nothing.

sometimes the Ctrl c and Ctrl V works, but then it doesn't,
clearing the clipboard also does not help.

copying just random numbers.

sometimes, i can copy/cut & paste within the same workbook/sheet & at other
times, i can't even do that.

With this being a seemingly random occurrence, it is hard to trouble-shoot.

CTRL + C + C brings up the CB and you can see the copied data?

CTRL + V will sometimes paste.

With CB open and data copied select another cell and "Click an item to paste"

Does it paste in that operation?

Just right-clickcopy and right-clickpaste.........is paste grayed out or
available?

Another thing that can cause this is if you have login session(s) on multiple
servers from your computer open at the same time.

Yes

I can't explain this but it's back to normal (restarted it a few times,
updated office)
