Default Filling formulas

I have several columns of values. I entered a sum formula at the bottom of
column A. When I fill right (using handle or EditFill) the resulting value
for
all columns is the value for column A. However, when I click in the cell it
shows the correct data reference and when I double click the cell the correct
value shows up. Anyone ever hear of this problem? Thanks
