I have a template with several vlookups in it. When use the template
and save a document from it I would like the vlookups to become normal text is there a simple way to do this? |

You can convert the result of any formula to hard data by copying and then
Paste Special and selecting Values. Hope this helps. -- Elisabeth "KurtB" wrote: I have a template with several vlookups in it. When use the template and save a document from it I would like the vlookups to become normal text is there a simple way to do this? |

....and if you wanted to take that a step further, you could possibly automate
it by recording a macro that would select the entire sheet, and then copy/paste special the values. If you name the macro "Auto_Close" (no quotes) it will run automatically when you close the file.
