Vlookup & Template

I have a template with several vlookups in it. When use the template
and save a document from it I would like the vlookups to become normal
text is there a simple way to do this?

You can convert the result of any formula to hard data by copying and then
Paste Special and selecting Values. Hope this helps.

....and if you wanted to take that a step further, you could possibly automate
it by recording a macro that would select the entire sheet, and then
copy/paste special the values. If you name the macro "Auto_Close" (no
quotes) it will run automatically when you close the file.
