Sharing workbooks

Hi,

I've read that it is not a good idea to share workbooks. Could anyone tell
me if this is true and why please?

Is there any other alternative to opening the workbook one at a time.

Using Excel 2003 & Novell server

Many thanks

Sharing workbooks

Do you mean the Tools|Share Workbook feature?

If yes, look at excel's help for
"Features that are unavailable in shared workbooks" for a big list.

That's enough to stop me from sharing workbooks. But others have reported other
problems, too.

Many suggest that if you really want to have simultaneous access, then a real
database program (Access?) would be better.
