Urgent help..nested functions..
Hi I am Siddharth,
I have a 2 column database in Sheet2 of a workbook file. I have a 15 digit number say 550660506050504 I extracted 4 numbers from the above specified number say 6605. now problem is that I have to search this number from the database(Sheet2) which is definitely there. I have used vlookup, Hlookup which have generated the corrrect result, but only when i manually enter this number in a cell with out any formula in the cell. Problem statement is hlookup & vlookup is not producing a result when I am referencing this cell which has a formula MID to extract 4 numbers from the 15 digit number. i hope you understand my problem. Kindly help asap. Thanks & regards. -- Siddharth Sood |

Why not just insert an extra column containing your extraction data and then
look that up. "SID" wrote: Hi I am Siddharth, I have a 2 column database in Sheet2 of a workbook file. Post the formula you're using.
