Weird formatting on inserted rows
Hi there
we've got a massive spreadsheet here which has had a couple of rows inserted. When trying to do a simple SUM of some rows in a column, those values in the inserted rows are missed out. When I try to apply number formatting to the cells they are left aligned (everything else is right aligned) and are still not included. I have tried formatting the cells alone and as part of the whole column, same result. I have also tried cutting and pasting, special, values into "clean" bits of the sheet, but the formatting goes with them. Arg! Help? Ta! Jane |
Weird formatting on inserted rows
Hi Jane,
Your cells are text and formatting afterwards doesn't help. Format an empty cell as number. Enter the number 1 in it. EditCopy. Select your "numbers". EditPaste Special, check Multiply -- Kind regards, Niek Otten Microsoft MVP - Excel "Bahookie" wrote in message ... | Hi there | we've got a massive spreadsheet here which has had a couple of rows | inserted.
