How do I convert an Excel file to an ASCII file?

Please help me to understand how can I save an Excel file as an ASCII file?
And also, how can I zip a file to make it encryped and password protected?

FileSave AsFile Type*.TXT which is ascii

For the zipping and encrypting see StartHelp and Support and enter "zip" into
the Search dialog box.
