deleting a character

DELETE ONLY * IN A CELL
 
I have a bunch of data that has an * before and after data. What is the
easiest way to just delete the * without erasing the data between *XXXX*?

DELETE ONLY * IN A CELL
 
Select the range

Then use EditReplace

Find what : ~*
Replace with : leave empty

DELETE ONLY * IN A CELL
 
Try this:

Select the range of cells in question
Goto EditReplace
Find what: ~*
Replace with: nothing, leave this blank
Replace All
