Instead of Parsing
I have a field in my spreadsheet from a query, as follows.
01*24*50076*01*EA*05 01*22*ZMAPLE*01*EA*05 I am interested in extracting the middle characters like 50076 ZMAPLE They are the Item numbers and they float between 5 and 8 charcaters. How can I accomplish? Also I have another field. 01*09*ZZQUA*01*CS*06 01*21*80225*01*CS*03 I would like to separate in addition to Item number 4th and 5th characters. Thanks for helping me. |
Instead of Parsing
Use Text to Columns with the * as the separator.
