keep column fixed
 

i have information in the first column that i want to see continuously as i
scroll over to the right. how do i keep this column fixed so it doesn't
disappear once i scroll over a good bit to the right.

Select column B, then Window/ Freeze Panes.
If you want to see Row 1 as well, select cell B2 before Windows/ Freeze
Panes.
