When you have it opened in Excel, massage the data to the appropriate formatting then save as an Excel workbook. If I understand you correctly, you want to get an ascii file into an excel sheet to use as a data source for a label mail merge in Microsoft Word. If the ascii file will open directly into Excel, then you can use the ascii file as your data source for the labels.
