There's an example here that combines three named ranges, using formulas:
http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html Under Data Validation, look for 'DV0014 - Combine Multiple Lists into One' There are instructions here for creating named ranges: http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html Nir wrote: Hi, How can that be done? Debra thanks, that is nice BUT I neet to create a drop down list using
Validation, does that mean that i first need to create unified list and then enforce validation on the list, or can i directly create a Validation list from the differnt lists. Other words I have a sheet where i want the user to pick from drop down list combines all 3 lists. thanks "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: There's an example here that combines three named ranges, using formulas: http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html Under Data Validation, look for 'DV0014 - Combine Multiple Lists into One' There are instructions here for creating named ranges: http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html Nir wrote: Hi, How can that be done? In the sample file, cell C4 is a data validation dropdown, based on the
combined list. Since a data validation source must be a single row or column, this combined list is created first, and is the source for the data validation dropdown.
