Saving templates with links and formulas

I have created 5 excel workbook templates with formulas and links
intermingled between the five. I am trying to keep the templates intact and
create working workbooks for current use. How do I do this without losing the
links to the workbooks and screwing up the formulas.

What's the possibility of combining the WBs into one single file?

Not good. What I have is a revenue workbook and an expense workbook, a
profit and loss workbook, and a budget workbook. The budget and P&L workbook
has links to cells in the rev and exp workbooks to gather the information. I
don't want people to input into the templates but to copy them from year to
year to put in their figures, but I can't save a copy without losing the
links. I can't depend on anyone here to recreate the formulas and links
after I'm gone.
