You can set custom to #;"("#")";#
But there is an easier way - can't find it though Steve On Wed, 25 Oct 2006 11:51:03 +0100, IoHeFy wrote: Hello, How do you get minus/negative numbers to appear in brackets? Thanks. |

In the Format Cells dialog, with "Number" selected the third "negative
numbers" option shows parens (or brackets as they say in England, etc.). If you do not see a bracketed format there you have to change your negative number format for CURRENCY (not Numbers) under Windows Control Panel, Regional Settings to use parens. -- Jim "IoHeFy" wrote in message ... | Hello, | | How do you get minus/negative numbers to appear in brackets? | | Thanks. |
