Copy web data entry page into Excel

I've copied a web page that has pull downs and pasted it into Excel 2003.
The pulls down have the same values as what was on the web site. The
spreadsheet is stored as an xls file. My question is how do I modify the
pull down values? I've been able to select the control, go into design view
and see the properties where it looks like I can change the values. I'm
trying to add a blank as a valid value and it does stange things.

I've tried to search for help on the web and through Excel but I'm not
actually sure what key words to use. I'm not exactly sure what I have. it
is a web page? Is it a spreadsheet?

In addition to adding blanks I'd like to find more about what I have done
but I don't know how to describe it.

Thanks for any assistance that you might have.

Hard to tell without seeing the web page but you probably need to extract
the data with a macro or a vlookup function. You probably would be better
off getting the data with an external query instead of copy/paste.
