Default How to find a needle in a haystack?

Here's my situation. I am an accountant. It is common for me to have a
column of numbers (typically amounts including dollars and cents). These
numbers might be a listing of expenses in an account so they are more or less
random. Frequently, I want to know whether adding two or more of these
numbers in this column will add up to a given amount. Is there an easy way
to get excel to determine whether adding some combination of one or more
numbers in a list will add up to some given amount?

Thanks in advance for any help you may give.
