Formatting pivot tables

I am trying to create a SUM IF formula from a pivot table in a different
worksheet, but the column data field will not be reconised as a number format
I have tried right click-format cell-number but it still does not work any
ideas?

If you're trying to summarize data from the pivot table, it may be
easier to create another pivot table, based on the first one. Then,
create a layout that just shows the summarized data.
