How do I solve circular references?

I have a circular reference in a sheet and when i want to link cells to
different sheets, the value is coming up as zero. I do not want to copy and
paste the values because if i make a change on the sheet i want it to be
reflected on the subsequent formulae.

If the circular reference toolbar is not visible, click VIEW in the menu,
select TOOLBARS and then click CIRCULAR REFERENCE.

The first object on the CIRCULAR REFERENCE toolbar is the NAVIGATE CIRCULAR
REFERENCES combo box, which show as list of cells containing a circular
reference.

Drop down the list and select the cell which has the cicular reference and
edit the formula to resolve the conflict.

A circular reference is a cell reference in a formula that references its
own location. If you type in the formula =SUM(A1:A10) in cell A10, that
will generate a circular reference.

If you have trouble finding the circular reference, maybe Stephen Bullen's
utility will help:

http://www.oaltd.co.uk/Excel/Default.htm
Look for FindCirc.zip

Thanks Dave-circular ref solver looks very helpful. Do you know if there is
any way I can import this box into another spreadsheet??

That addin is not part of any other workbook. If you have it running in excel,
it'll be available to all workbooks.

Check near the bottom of the Tools menu to start it.
