convert text to dates
Want to convert text date "30 AUG 2006" to a date. Have used "=DATEVALUE()"
but comes back with #value!. Would greatly appreciate help here. |

Use TTC (Text to Columns).
Select the column, then: <Data <Text To Columns And click "Delimited", then <Next <Next Click on "Date", and make sure that "DMY" shows in the window, Then <Finish, And you've got XL recognized dates. If you have the text date "30 AUG 2006" in cell A1. you can use =datevalue(a1) or =datevalue("30 AUG 2006"). if the answer return in number like 38959 you can format it.
