Need to sum columns, excluding hidden ones - like 'subtotal' for r
 

I need to sum one row in several columns and want my sum to exclude values in
the row where the columns are hidden. Similar to using the 'subtotal'
function on rows, I need a 'subtotal' function that works on columns.
