odd behavior when referencing a cell on another sheet

I'm using XL 2003. When I try to create a formula which references a cell on
another sheet, if that cell is near a cell with a comment, I can't select the
cell unless the comment is hidden. The comment itself doesn't obscure the
cell.

Anyone else see this behavior?

Hi Dave,

I had a vague memory of this problem, so I did a quick search in this
forum and found...

Comment BUG- selecting cells on other worksheets

which appeared March 6 this year.
Only solution offered was turn off comments.
