Can't delete buttons

Hello,
I have been given a spreadsheet with buttons overlaying one another. The top
button is meant to function (open another sheet) however when (right) click
on that button or any of the other buttons behind them in order to delete it,
it doesn't border the button and change the curser to a four headed arrow to
allow me to edit/delete.

Can anyone tell me if there could be some kind of setting put on this button
to dis-allow any editing?

I did not create the spreadsheet so it is a bit mysterious to me.

Thanks,
Angeline

Hi Angeline

Is the file password protected?
That would prevent you from editing the button.
Try ToolsProtectionUnprotect

You may need to press the design mode button before you can edit/delete the
button(s). The design mode button is on the 'Control Toolbox' toolbar and the
icon has a rule, a set square and a pencil on it. Press that button to allow
you to edit the button, press it again once you have finished making changes.
