Prevent users from adding rows in Excel 2000
Excel 2002 and 2003 give you many options to select from when protecting sheets.
Unfortunately you are using Excel 2000 so cannot benefit from these options. You wouldn't want to use the "insert rows" option in any case. That option allows users to insert rows in a protected sheet. In Excel 2000, just protect the worksheet to prevent rows being inserted. ToolsProtectionProtect sheet. Prevent users from adding rows in Excel 2000
Hi,
Sorry: Goto: ToolsProtectionProtect Sheet... This will then bring a box up which will ask you for a password and have a list of options below. Ignore what I told you earlier and make sure "insert new rows" does not have a tick next to it. If there is no tick next to the action in the list, then they will not be able to perform that action. Thanks, Simon Alex wrote: Select "insert new rows" where? Hi Alex, [quoted text clipped - 5 lines] Is there a way to do this in 2000?
