csv to xls formatting problem

Field containing date 'dd-mm-yy' when exported to .xls retains its
format however if updated at a later time from the same format looses
its format (or some of the data being converted into mm-dd-yy)within
same .xls file. No problem if a new .xls [different name] is used but
this not satisfactory.

Thansk in advance for your sugestions.

csv to xls formatting problem

Hi Polina,

I don't quite understand what you mean, but try renaming the file to .txt (instead of .csv). Then importing it starts a wizard in
which you can specify the (date) format.
