Default how can I let the toolbar disappear

When I need more spreadsheed I would like very much to be able to let the big
toolbar disappear.. both in EXEL and WORD.

Default how can I let the toolbar disappear

If you are referring to the Standatrd and Formatting Toolbars, just go to the
View menu, point to Toolbars, and you'll see a list of Toolbars with a check
mark next to the ones that are currently being displayed. Just click on them
and toggle them off.
