How do I get the a large amount of text to show in merged cell?

I have several columns and rows that I have merged into one cell. The cell
has wrap text turned on. I type a large amount of information for in the
cell, but all the text does not show. It stops about half way down the cell.
It doesnot show up in Print Preview or when you print it either.

Excel has a limit that only displays 1024 characters per cell (eventhough one
cell is made up of several). When you merge, it is one cell and is limited
to 1024. It will show more in the formula bar but not one cell. You will
have to split them.

See the post from Office Helper about the why of it.

You can work around some by using ALT + ENTER every 100 characters.

This will extend the 1024 limit quite a bit.

Depends upon how much work you are willing to do.

Note also: rows with merged cells will not autofit even with wrap text set.

You must manually size or use a macro.
