Scrollbar, vertical

In some of the spreadsheets, the scrollbar will continuous scrolling while in
others the sheet will jump to the line where the scrollbar is set. I want
continuous scrolling but don't know how to set. Help??

It sounds like you're running two different versions of excel.

In older versions, if you scrolled down using the vertical scrollbar, you'd see
a yellow tooltip that indicated the row you'd be on if you stopped.

In newer versions, this was replaced by live scrolling--you actually see the
rows change--so the tooltip isn't useful any more.

Scrollbar, vertical

Dave,
Thanks for answering but I guess I didn't explain my problem clearly. When I
hold down the pointer over the vertical scrolling button (between up & down
arrows), and move the button up and down a scrolling window appears which
tells me the row where I am but you can't actually see the data scrolling. I
want to be able to see the lines when I am scrolling. I can do this by using
the wheel on the mouse but not the button on the right of the screen.

You'll have to upgrade to a newer version. (You're using xl97???).

I _think_ xl2k was the first version to have that live scrolling feature (using
the scrollbar).

I don't have a guess. It works just like you want for me (xl2003, also).
