One way, select the sheet with the date, right click on the worksheet tab
and group sheets, select the cell with the date, F2, enter, ungroup the sheets -- Paul B Always backup your data before trying something new Please post any response to the newsgroups so others can benefit from it Feedback on answers is always appreciated! select the cell you want to copy

Ok..that will only allow me to paste it manually, how can I do this with

This doesn't work...when i rt click on tab, it doesn't bring up anything

Steve, select the first sheet, hold down the shift key and click on the last
sheet. This will select all sheets in between. Enter the date in any cell and it will be entered in all 40 sheets. Right-click and "select all sheets" to group them.
