Excel should support the ISO standard date format

ISO 8601 standardizes the format of dates written using only numbers. Excel
2003 does not support this format, so I have to write dates as text. This
sucks.

Excel supports the format.

You have to create a custom number format for it to work.

Excel should support the ISO standard date format

As an Excel date is just a serial number, it can support all manner of date
formats.
