I am trying to make conditions for each cell i.e.
=$A$1<0
Take that and drag it down so I don't have to enter
=$A$2<0
=$A$3<0
and so on.

If you mean conditional formatformula is:

Select all the cells first then FormatCFFormula is: =A1<0

Do not enter the $ signs
