I can stretch Excel 97 across 2 monitors, but worksheets can't seem to
stretch any larger than 1 monitor wide.

I understand 3 monitors is now the in thing. I'm just using the
monitor on my laptop (boring). How about opening another window
in Excel then you could have two views of the same worksheet
that you have to scroll through independently. I have no idea
if this would work for your dual monitors.

Windows (Excel menu), New Window
you will now see myworkbook.xls:1 and myworkbook.xls:2
which you can move around on one screen -- I don't know about
two monitor.

If you get sick of looking at two views of the same workbook
for any reason then simply close either one with [x] to close.

I have Excel 2000 at work (running on MS2000) and I have Excel 97 at home
(running on XP). I have no trouble working on both monitors at work. I've
brought the files home saved to my machine at work - and no luck. I can't
get a single worksheet to stretch over both monitors. I do this daily at
work - I bought an additional monitor for home, hoping to take advantage.
But I'm still stuck.

I started a new spreadsheet (by coping a worksheet from an old one, about an
hour ago - - and I just realized, after working on it for an hour, that I had
stretched it over both monitors - I didn't even realize it when I did it! So
I tried to open another spreadsheet - - no luck. I then highlighted all of
the worksheets in the workboox and copied to a new workbook - and voila!!
Excel opened a new full-sized-stretch spreadsheet!! THANK you very much for
your help. (Hope you can use this info in the future!)
