making a fixture list
Are they predicting the complete set of fixtures or just one week's?
The best way of setting up a complete fixture list is to have the teams listed alphabetically in column A, starting in A2 and then to transpose the same list into the columns from B1, so that you would have something like: Arsenal Aston Villa Blackburn etc Arsenal x Aston Villa x Blackburn x etc The team in column A is the home team - those on row 1 are the away teams. Obviously a team cannot play itself, so there is no entry in cells B2, C3, D4 etc (shown as x above). The cells at the intersections of the teams can be used to record the date the fixture is planned, or the score if the game has been played, or the attendance etc. - a very flexible table. Hope this helps. Pete wrote: Hi there, i am doing a competition between friends, which consist of predicting the F.A premiership results in britain.
