limit on size of macro for excell97
Hi
Does anyone know if there is a limit on the size of a macro in Excel 97. The reason i ask is that when i get to a certain point in writing a macro, excel bombs when i try to load the spread sheet containing the macro. If i just paste the macro in from a copy i made in word, excel works fine. It's only when i try to load the spread sheet that i get an error which causes excel to close and try to send an error message to Microsoft " |

There isn't a published limit, but it is often said that if you export the
module and look at its size, if it is approaching 64K, then you should probably slit it. Of couse it shouldn't be a big deal to split it, so you might try that anyway - that is if it isn't some long macro recorder type single subroutine. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Joe Farruggio" wrote in message ...
