I am trying to project/forecast figures in ms excel based on the performance
of several previous years. I tried using the GROWTH and FORECAST functions
but I am still getting errors everytime.
Can you tell me how to create
a) a line graph which can forecast figures for 'n' number of future years as
desired.
b) formulae which i can use to forecast figures.
I will be very grateful if you can help me out with the problems.

Forecast does linear growth (growth doesn't).

You would get one value per year forcasted (per formula entered in a single
cell) - just specify that year consistent with your historical dates.


Take a look at the help on forecast. The explanation and example seem
pretty straight forward.
