My Excel is not mulitpling numbers correctly?

I have my invoice in excel and i tell it to take C23=180.6*150 which should
be 16290.00 but my excel is adding 6.00 to that making it 16296.00.

180.6*150 is 27090.

If 108.6 (not 180.6 ...typo I think!) is in a cell, format the cell to show
more decimal places as I suspect the true value is 108.64 (or very nearly).

What is displayed isn't always how the number is held in Excel.

Are you sure the cell doesn't really hold 180.64, and is just formatted to 1
dec place?

"Your excel" is probably doing just what you tell it to. More likely, you are
not clear on what you are telling your excel to do.

Is the contents of really C23: =180.6*150

There is no way that can equal 16290. 180.6 * 150 equals 27090.

I suspect that you have not reported the contents of C23 accurately.

If, instead of the formula which you write is in C23, there are really cell
references, then the cell references do not contain the numbers 180.6 and 150
