i can't open excel workbook if it has a chart in it!
Hello
My boss is running Office xp with SP3, the same as me, but can't open an excel sheet with a chart in, even though I can. Excel just crashes and send a message to Microsoft. please help Aidan |
First, just guesses.
On the boss's pc: close excel clean up windows temp folder Try opening the troublesome workbook. ========== Still broken? close excel windows start button|Run excel /safe File|open (the workbook) If that works, then visit Chip Pearson's site to see if you can isolate the problem. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm ============ Still broken? Maybe opening the workbook in another program and saving it there would help "clean" it up. Lots of people have had good luck with OpenOffice--when excel couldn't open the workbook. http://www.openoffice.org, a 60-65 meg download or a CD Aidan wrote: Hello My boss is running Office xp with SP3, the same as me, but can't open an excel sheet with a chart in, even though I can.
