We use an Excel-list as a portal to procedures and checklists. The Excel-list
has hyperlinks to other Excel and Word-files. Its all made awailable on web-page with http-adresses. My problem is that I want to open the Excel or Word-files in a separate browser-window when I click the link in the Excel-list. This work fine when I work within the XLS file-format, but when the Excel-list is opened in Interneet Explorer the links open in the same browser window. I have tryed to add the \n-swich in the HYPERLINK fieldcode, but with no effect at all. I also tried to uncheck the setting of "Browse in same window" in Windows Explorer for DOC and XLS-formats, but is has a major drawback: I often link to bookmarks in the target file. When I uncheck the "Browse in same window" , then the view of the target file is not set to the specified bookmark, but to the view as it was last saved. I'm looking for a way to define whether a given link should open in a new window or not ! If possible ..... Can anyone help me? |
