Help,,,my keyboard is locked and can not enter characters n excel
 

I was entering data into Excel when I kept my finger on a key too long,,,,,a
warning msg popped up and now I can not type any characters into an open
cell. I can cut and paste info but its like my "keyboard" is now locked and
I can't enter anything.

Whatever the key was that you were holding too long, try holding it again
and see if it resets. For example, try holding the left shift key for about
10 seconds.
