Excel has a limit of 15 digits for numeric data so any digits after this will be 0. If the data is a reference number, and therefore you do not [cannot] want to use it for calculations, then enter the data as text. Format the cell(s) as text and then enter the data or prefix the data with a single quote (') e.g. '12345678901234567890 HTH "ratnakar kulkarni" wrote: i hv tried 2 input 20 digits in excel sheet. for yr kind info, i hv formatted the relevant field as 'number' and decimal as '0'. however, when i pressed enter key, it is giving only zeroes after 15 digits. this i'm unable 2 understand. kindly look into this matter + arrange 2 help / guide me. rgds, ratnakar kulkarni |
