Default after 15 digits in excel sheet i am getting zeroes

i hv tried 2 input 20 digits in excel sheet. for yr kind info, i hv
formatted the relevant field as 'number' and decimal as '0'. however, when
i pressed enter key, it is giving only zeroes after 15 digits. this i'm
unable 2 understand. kindly look into this matter + arrange 2 help / guide
me.

Ratnakar

Excel has a limit of 15 digits for numeric data so any
digits after this will be 0. If the data is a reference number, and
therefore you do not [cannot] want to use it for calculations, then enter the
data as text.

Format the cell(s) as text and then enter the data or prefix the data with a
single quote (')

e.g. '12345678901234567890
