in Excel, dates appear as crosshatched lines, especially if copy,.
 
In Excel, some dates entered in cells appear only as crosshatched lines, even
though formatted the same as others. This happens every time if I copy and
paste.

The column is probably too narrow for the date as formatted.

Try autofitting the columns
