Default Where have the supercript and subscript buttons gone in excel2003

My previous version of excel had "supercript" and "subscript" formatting
buttons I could use. I cannot find these in excel 2003. Are they still
availabe, and if they are where are they hiding?

Maybe you are thinking of Microsoft Word or some other software.

In Excel on the address bar, select the portion to be converted
then Format, cells, font, choose suscript or superscript

Here is an Excel addin that has buttons withing the dialog box:
