"File in Use" Popup does not show
When I open a file that is opened by another user, I used to get the popup
box that would say "File name" is locked for editing By 'USER' Open 'Read-Only' or, click 'Notify' to open read-only and receive notification when the document is no longer in use. But I no longer get that popup. How do I reenable this? I am using Excel 2003. |

I am just wondering if that particular file has been shared.
Have you tested this out with various excel files? If you open that file and go to Tools Share workbook, how does it look from there? I haven't tried that. Without any changes being made, I have another computer
that I DO get the popup. It's just this one PC that I'm having trouble with. I'm going to try to uninstall the Suite and reinstall it. The reinstallation of the Suite worked.
