can a formula add color based on a date and time?
column a is a list of companies. column b is formatted in yellow and contains
different dates down the column based on criteria in an existing formula. i want column c to shade red automatically based on the date in column b once time has hit/passed 5:01pm. id like it to add column b's date and 17:01 in column c based on the company name in column a. for example, todays date is 8/29/2006. a1 is macys. b1 is 8/29/2006 (formatted yellow). c1 would be 8/29/2006 17:01 (formatted automatically by the formula to RED after system time passes 17:01) different companies will have different times that affect when column c turns red. thanks in advance for any help. |

Use conditional formatting. Just be sure to re-calculate the worksheet
before reviewing the colors. -- Gary's Student "Outbacker" wrote: column a is a list of companies. column b is formatted in yellow and contains different dates down the column based on criteria in an existing formula. i want column c to shade red automatically based on the date in column b once time has hit/passed 5:01pm. id like it to add column b's date and 17:01 in column c based on the company name in column a. for example, todays date is 8/29/2006. a1 is macys. b1 is 8/29/2006 (formatted yellow). c1 would be 8/29/2006 17:01 (formatted automatically by the formula to RED after system time passes 17:01) different companies will have different times that affect when column c turns red. thanks in advance for any help. |
