HOW TO DELETE MULTIPLE TEXT BOXES FROM A TEMPLATE FILE
Each time I open a template that I created, the number of text boxes
increase. I did not originally create the template with any textboxes. To date the number of textboxes are in the thousands and are slowing the worksheet down. To recreate the templates involves many many hours of work. Is there a simple way to delete the textboxes that now number in the thousands? |
HOW TO DELETE MULTIPLE TEXT BOXES FROM A TEMPLATE FILE
If the textboxes are the ONLY objects in the worksheet,
Try this: Press the [F5] key.....(that's the shortcut to <edit<goto) Click the [Special] button Check: Objects Click the [OK] button That will select ALL of the objects on the sheet Press the [Delete] key...(that will eliminate them) Then...<file<save as...template Note: That probably will not prevent more textboxes from generating upon opening the file if there any AutoOpen macros that create them. Does the file prompt you to enable macros? Does that help? *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP "textbox trouble" wrote: Each time I open a template that I created, the number of text boxes increase.
